This was taken on my 50th birthday. M. and I had just finished a tour of New Zealand with the American Horticultural Society and we took a week to explore Hong Kong and celebrate our wedding anniversary as well as my birthday.
I used to stop off here on my way back from NZ at the end of my tours but it's no longer permitted by the tour companies and I'm no longer prepared to sit on a plane all the way to New Zealand without a break. I did five trips in 2008/09 and decided enough was enough. Still, if the tour companies ever change their minds...
There are a million things to love about Hong Kong - a ride on the Star Ferries for instance.
