About This Blog

I've been travelling the world since forever, mainly as a freelance tour manager, showing groups from schoolkids through to the long retired the wonders of this world.  It's been thirty years since I gave up trying to do what others wanted me to do and followed my heart. I'd like to carry on for another thirty years if I can.
I left school knowing that I wanted to see the world and that's pretty much what I've done (apart from those first few years of nine to five). On the way I met my wife who does the same job and is as restless as me - she even shares a fair amount of my taste in music - I never thought that would happen.
This blog is really a personal journal that happens to be mainly about travel, be it the other side of the world or the other side of the street - it's all about what's around the next corner. Sometimes it's the worst job in the world for lots of reasons but most of the time It's a brilliant way to spend a lifetime on this planet. When we are not being paid to see the world, we pay to see the world - it's an addiction.

I've moved many of these entries from Blipfoto.com, which is a photo a day community. It was a bit too restrictive for me and I'll go back and expand on some of those transplanted posts when I get the chance.
